"All gun stores in the country were being nationalized at that very moment and, within three days, the buyback program would be terminated. Only police, security, and other very specific exceptions—yet to be determined— would be allowed to own or carry firearms.

Whoever was caught with a gun would be arrested, and whoever wanted to hand over theirs would receive nothing and still have to pay a fine."
