Are Large shorters paying small shorters to stay in AMC GME play?

It’s makes no logical sense for a hedgie with a small AMC short position to stay in the play it makes no logical sense Why would they risk their entire portfolio over AMC? There is probably additional financial incentive for them to stay in the play
