Making Just Like Autumn (a fall soap)

The smell of fall represents change. As the leaves change from green to red, purple. orange and brown, the air is also changing. And that can be very evocative for us because it’s become associated with a period of time that is a somewhat pleasant transition for most people.
Many of the “fall” scents that appear in fragrant products or envelop customers as they walk into stores aren’t related to the stunning foliage colors at all. They’re more associated with activities that take place in autumn, like hayrides or baking pies. Fall is a favorite season because of cooler weather, less humidity, and fun, family activities. So when you are walking around and get a whiff of a campfire, a wood burning stove, a fresh apple pie, or that pumpkin spice latte, it brings back the memories of warmth and comfort, and being close together.
That is why we chose the fragrance for this soap. The scent notes read "A wonderful blend of orange slices, peaches, and apples surrounded by crushed cloves and ground cinnamon with a warm background of tonka and sweet vanilla." and it is meant to transport you to a walk through the woods where the leaves are changing colors and a fresh apple cinnamon pie waits for you on the window ledge.
