Truths Some Americans Might Not Be Ready To Hear

Everybody knows that the American healthcare system differs from what you’ll find in pretty much any other industrialized nation. People on the left will tell you that this is because we are a crueler country than most others — we’re happy to let you go bankrupt from your cancer care (or die because you can’t afford it in the first place) as long as market forces decree that this should be so. Folks on the right will say that we have a unique system because socialized healthcare inhibits innovation, creates waste, and bottlenecks care.
