Single Player

The Battlefield: Renegade Company series has a single player storyline mode where the player takes on the role of a soldier serving in a small 4 man company on an adventure with the company. An earlier entry Battlefield 2: Modern Warfare also had a single-player mode but the plot was only about the big picture of the battle and lacked the detail of the soldiers at the bottom. Battlefield 3 has a cinematic style suspenseful plot but has received mixed reviews. And Battlefield: Heroes and Battlefield 1943 have no single player at all only the ability to play online against each other. Other games in the Battlefield series allow for the addition of computer people to play against each other like an online game and some Battlefield games also have a co-op mode allowing multiple real people to play online with computer people.
