18-month-old Winston the spider monkey looks like he'd be better off manning the Black Pearl ship rather than swinging from the trees of a jungle.

The adventurous young monkey has gone viral on for his funny run, which his followers keenly recognised as similar to Captain Jack Sparrow's iconic run in popular film franchise Pirates of the Caribbean.

Owner Michael Robison, 42, is an entrepreneur from Nashville, Texas, and cares for several abused and abandoned primates.

Michael said: "He brings so much joy, laughter and amazement to me and people online.

"When I first filmed him doing this I just thought about how much I enjoyed watching him."
