Having compassion for others and compassion for self is not easy work. True compassion requires you to stay humble, forget yourself and just listen to the other person. Often the advice is not required. Humans usually know what to do, the problem is they are too stuck in pain cycles to know they can do it. “That’s too hard” is their go-to mantra.
