"Identity" Thought Experiment of The Day

Let's test the assertion that children should be able to have private, confidential conversations with teachers about their own, or the teachers identities and values, and that teachers who keep these secret are just "protecting" the kid from bigoted parents. Let's test the assertion that affirming and helping the child transition and even modify their bodies to match their identities and deeply held beliefs is a kindness and appropriate, at all, never mind behind parents' backs.

If you're going to say "This is different!" Better be prepared to give a rational, logically consistent reason why!
