Does the FOV setting in Escape From Tarkov affect the recoil?

Yep. We're going there.

In this deep dive, we'll challenge what we *THINK* we know is going on behind the scenes in EFT.

On the whole, the concept is rather simple, it just has a lot of moving parts.

--- Some epilogue notes ---

And for those who watched the trailer, you may have noticed I did *NOT* use some of the footage here. And that's simply because my thinking on the topic changed while I was making the final version. I originally thought the camera position may be moving forward rather than backward and suspected there may be some amount of counter-rotation involved. But once I had the "Aha!" moment of the dolly zoom, those older ideas went out the window (I added those links below in case you'd like to see their content though!).

The other portion I cut was a comparison of various iron sight ADS zooms where I focused again on the difference in the way the weapon model is presented. One of the AK's I had seemed to use an indexed sight picture so I had a segment where I covered hold over vs hold under vs indexed sight pictures. It didn't seem to fit with the topic here of FOV so I chopped it (but maybe for another video?)
