Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is the fourth entry in the Battlefield series, released in 2005 for the Xbox, PS2 and in 2006 for the Xbox 360.
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat was the first Battlefield game in the series to be released on a console platform, and the first Battlefield game in the series to have a single-player storyline. Although it is set in the same modern warfare setting as Battlefield 2 with the US, China and Arabia, the detailed elements are very different. The multiplayer side of the game supports up to 24 players online at the same time.
