Today's Question: Does God contradict Himself?

Strange thought. The bible says many things and sometimes it sounds like its contradicting itself. For example Proverbs 9:10 says fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the holy one is understanding. but in Isaiah 41:10 it says Do not fear for I am with you do not be dismayed for i am they God i will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. In other words, in Isaiah it says don’t fear anything at all, but in Proverbs it says fear God. So I got confused and we addressed this in an earlier lesson. another example of the bible contradicting itself is it says challenge or test everything. Basically if something doesn't make sense, challenge it. Ask questions, learn, and so on. but then again it says DONT put thy lord thy God to the test. Which again leaves me grabbing my head and giving it a good shake saying "God you lost me again help please." and so I asked why don’t we test God when he says test everything? the answer came when I looked at just how vast and powerful He is. He is just too big, too infinite, to indescribable, and just overall too much. So how do you test something, or someone like him?
I'm sure there are other lessons and parts of the bible like this. But still these random thoughts stood out today. What does everyone else think? What does the bible say?
