Slavery, & How Many Of The Founders Fought Against It Since Our Nations Founding.

Slavery was an issue that divided America since its inception, the Union of states almost didn’t happen because of it. Americans eventually felt defeating the British would have to come first, and the issue of slavery was put on the back burner, so the colonies could unite against the king.

By the time America came back to the issue of slavery, things were just as heated between the north and south as they ever were, and thus, the bloodiest battle in American history (still to this day) was fought over it.
