Tesla AI Day 2022 Unveils Optimus Unit 1 - Humanoid Robots for Mass Production!

At 2022 Tesla AI Day, Elon Musk gave the public its first look at his company's humanoid robot nicknamed Optimus. He expects the production model to cost less than $20,000.
The strolling, dancing robot known as Tesla Bot is already looking after the plants in the automaker's corporate offices. The event demonstrated the prototype's autonomy, and it was not wired, cabled, or connected to any external computers in any way, as per Interesting Engineering.

Elon Musk's voice had activated a set of instructions that the Tesla Bot was carrying out. Musk revealed to the crowd that Tesla Bot enjoyed dancing, and the machine demonstrated that during its introduction.

The introduction of the robot to the public highlighted its self-activation and decision-making, which is an impressive feat considering that the team produced it in just a few months.
