BMW has redesigned the X1 SUV for 2023. A more powerful four-cylinder engine resides behind a bold double radiator grille. Its larger exterior dimensions promise slightly more interior space for passengers and cargo than the previous generation offered.

The 2023 X1 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but the new model boasts 241 horsepower, up 13 from before. All-wheel drive is standard this time, and the X1 also gets a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. BMW claims this upgraded powerplant gives the X1 enough power to hit 60 mph in 6.2 seconds.
