Forgive Them

The wrath of God afflicted Jesus Christ as He was on the cross. The suffering He endured for you and me for your sins and for my sins was necessary to atone for our sins. The physical suffering was immense for Jesus Christ as He hung on the cross. Considering all that he had gone through before being hung on the cross, it is wonder that He had not died before that – but the beating and the mockings and the scourging were not suppose to be what would end Jesus Christ’s life. He had to die on the cross. That cross became an altar and Jesus Christ, as the Lamb of God, was sacrificed on the cross to pay for the sins of the world. Every sin requires a payment.
