Authoritarians are buying influence in the US through former US politicians. After senators and representatives move through the revolving door of Congress and into lobbying, they can sell their services to foreign governments, even those hostile to the US. In this episode of America Uncovered, we look at the laws on lobbying for foreign governments and companies, some examples of former members of Congress who lobbied for companies of authoritarian governments, and one bill in the House that's trying to stop foreign influence in US lawmaking.
