Cobra Kai WRECKS Rings Of Power? | House of The Dragon & Football RULES

It's looks like Cobra Kai Season 5 ( NETFLIX ) has beaten Lord of The Rings - The Rings Of Power ( AMAZON PRIME VIDEO ) in total viewership based on information from both Amazon and Netflix in yet another bad sign for Rings Of Power after losing the viewership battle firmly to House of The Dragon.

But Amazon's launch into regular, exclusive national broadcasts of Thursday Night Football with the NFL (National Football League) in the US seems so far to be a big success that will only grow from here as sports fans adjust to where they now have to watch the game.

Nielsen reports some 13M US Households tuned into last week's Thursday night game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers on Amazon Prime, and that of course is with the game also being simulcast in those two local markets on local broadcast affiliates.

One would have to believe (in order for Amazon's boasting of its unqualified 25M global figure to be true) that nearly as many folks watched Rings Of Power as a major NFL game. Highly unlikely. It seems to give credence to the notion that Amazon may indeed have been counting EACH EPISODE of Rings of Power as a separate view on the service to arrive at 25M.

Furthermore, the global watch time of Cobra Kai reported directly from Netflix indicates that a bare minimum of 18M households watched the show in its first 3 days, but that's only if every single account binged it to completion. If it performs like other Netflix shows, then only about 1/3 to 1/2 of viewers watched the show in its entirety and the real audience size was closer to 36M global, STOMPING Rings of Power's alleged 25M. Of course that figure only grew over the following week whereas Rings of Power LOST audiences with the 3rd episode.
