The upcoming midterm elections for US Congress mark the first nationwide vote since Donald Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol nearly two years ago.

Some voters - and congressional candidates - have said that they believe the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump. There is no evidence for these claims.

Some in the US believe that these midterm elections will set the stage for whether Mr Trump will stand for election again in 2024.
