Popp, Crocodine, and Chiu discover Dai due to Dai hearing Popp's voice and using his crest power as a signal. However, because of this, Zaboera and his flying flares discover him as well! Crocodine takes them on, while Popp and Chiu rescue Dai. Crocodine easily overpowers Zaboera's minons, but Zaboera somehow gets away from him and blasts Dai and the gang. Suddenly, a metal pawn piece appears in front of them, saving, Dai and the gang. The Pawn piece begins to form into a person, calling himself "Hym". He makes quick work of Zaboera and his minons, and tells Dai and the gang to prepare for battle when they meet again. Popp asks Crocodine if he was the weakest, since he said he was a pawn? Crocodine tells him yes, and both Popp & Crocodine realize the urgency in their need to prepare for battle. Back in Papnica, Maam and Leona are happy to see Dai and the gang alive. Meanwhile, Back at Vearn's hideout, Hym throws Zaboera in prison and tells him to cool off. In the throne room, Hadlar appears in front of King Vearn with his 5 royal guards, The Rook: Block The Pawn: Hym, The Knight: Sigma, The Bishop: Fenbren, and The Queen: Albinass.
