26th MOD

The 26th Mounted Operations Detachment has been planning and training for Mounted Search and Rescue missions. Such Missions could be search and rescue of people, searches for vehicles, planes, or evidence.

It is anticipated that the 26th MOD will also assist local animal response teams with animal evacuation and provide Mounted Security Patrols for The California Military Department as it maintains military installations throughout the state. All with unique security needs.

The 26th plays a crucial part of Community Outreach by informing and educating the public about the California state guard by participating in community activities such as parades and educational events
