Three Rabbis: Attacks on Jews Increase When State of Israel is at War

Rabbis Yaakov Shapiro, Yisroel Dovid Weiss, and Elnahan Beck (in order of appearance) discuss the relationship between violence carried out in the name of the Jewish people, and violence against Jewish people.

They explain that attacks on Jewish people increase worldwide after the State of Israel attacks its neighbors, and consider that it might be dangerous for politicians and religious figures associated with the State of Israel to encourage people to believe:

1) that practitioners of Judaism living in nations all over the world, are loyal to a foreign government (i.e., the State of Israel); and

2) the idea that the Israeli government (and its crimes) represent all Jewish people, or the values of the Jewish religion.
