In this video I go over what you can expect at career fairs as well as give some general advice on making it a successful event. Schools will usually have multiple career fairs during the school year and if you are looking for a job or internship, you should definitely go to as many as you can. Here are some things to know before you go to your next career fair

Before the Career Fair:
1. Look up which companies will be there
2. Do research on what those companies do
3. Apply online to the positions they are trying to fill
3. Practice your elevator pitch about yourself
4. Print out multiple copies of your resume

During the Career Fair:
1. Talk to your top companies first if you are crunched on time.
2. Talk to your second or third choices first if you have time so you can practice your pitch and get comfortable talking to recruiters.
3. Make eye contact while talking
4. Ask questions about the company
5. Don't ask generic questions that can be found easily on their website
6. Ask for recruiter's business card

After the Career Fair:
1. Follow up with a thank you email
2. Add recruiter on LinkedIn if possible
3. Apply to job positions if you didn't beforehand
4. Follow up a week or two later about the job you applied for
