Are we shaped by our external environment, by our interactions with and perceptions of the secondary characters in our lives? Do we generate our sense of self from our place in the world around us? Is the plot-line written by the situation we experience? We discuss these themes in today's episode, saying no to much of them, espousing the view that we are each autonomous agents in the world and that it is incumbent upon us to delve within to derive our sense of self from our own inclinations; we are compelled to generate our own will and construct our own plot-line from this place. We write our own tale, we determine our own trajectory, we generate our own sense of identity.
