Earlier, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) said that a truck was blown up, resulting in a fire on seven railway tanks. The locomotive with the surviving tanks was driven to the Kerch station.

President Vladimir Putin ordered the creation of a government commission to investigate the incident and eliminate its consequences. The heads of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport left for the place, who will not assess the situation. Meanwhile, there are no forecasts for the restoration of the crossing yet, the Kremlin added.

2. A truck exploded on the Crimean Bridge, causing seven fuel tanks of a freight train to catch fire, Russia’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee said in a statement on Saturday.

"A truck coming from the Taman Peninsula exploded on the road part of the Crimean Bridge at 6:07 am today, causing seven fuel tanks of a train headed to the Crimean Peninsula to catch fire. Two spans of the road bridge partially collapsed," the statement reads.

According to the committee, the arch over the navigable part of the bridge was not damaged.

The committee also said that efforts were underway to establish the cause of the incident and address its consequences.
