Is NOIR Better? The PERDOMO Champagne Noir Epicure - CIGAR REVIEWS by CigarScore

Perdomo is one of my favorite cigar brands. (Click BELOW for all Perdomo cigar reviews). When I discovered the Perdomo Champagne, my world was turned upside down and my perspective of lighter cigars changed.

So, when I saw that Nick Perdomo and his team had blended a darker version of one of my favorite cigars, I knew I had to smoke it. Today we're diving into the Perdomo Champagne Noir Epicure, which is a cocoa-colored (ie. noir), much bolder-looking version of the Champagne than I've been used to.

After cutting and lighting the Noir, the flavors were good, like those of chocolate cake, but the binder and filler tobaccos were so densely packed that I struggled to get a good draw.

Final Thoughts:

The Perdomo Champagne Noir Epicure is like the regular Champagne, but not. What I mean is that there are some similar flavors, which is a good thing, but the maduro wrapper, as opposed to the Connecticut wrapper, changes the flavors tremendously. It's like the Noir kept all the good parts of the Champagne, but made it better. Comtrya!

I really enjoyed this cigar and am looking forward to the next one. It comes in at a great price and, other than a slightly tight draw, it was fantastic. In the end, the Perdomo Champagne Noir Epicure earns a CigarScore 5.
