An isolated depression known as #Dana , affected the #BalearicIslands with strong thunderstorms, that triggered massive flooding on #Mallorca and #Menorca islands.
The precipitation has flooded mostly the rural areas of the Levant region and in the vicinity of the capital of Mallorca - the #Palma , which has caused the evacuation of several families, and has left numerous roads closed due to the overflowing of Torrente de Na Borges.
A number of basements and ground floors were flooded, while several people had to be saved from their stranded cars.
The storm also made a severe impact on the island of Menorca, where a new rain record was set, and Sant Lluís, Ciutadella, and Alaior municipalities were left without power.
