Sowing and Reaping

When you plant a garden, you clear the area of all grass and weeds, and then till the ground. Seeds are then sowed and then covered with dirt and watered. As time passes by, you may add fertilizer and you will weed the garden and you will take joy in seeing the little green shoots come out of the ground. When you plant marigold seeds, you expect to see colorful flowers that are marigolds grow. When you plant corn, you expect to see stalks and ears of corn in the fall. What you sow is what you reap. The same is true in life. You sow and you reap what you have sown. What you put in is what you will get.
People waste time caring for their idols and polishing their idols and collecting more idols and in the end, their idols will do nothing for them when the people need them the most.
