While the single player version can only be played online, Evil Dead offers both cooperative gameplay and player versus player combat.Evil Dead: The game has mechanics for skill trees and leveling system. Along with more than 25 weapons like Ash's chainsaw and broomstick, it will also have a number of maps, including the cabin in the woods from the evil dead movies. At launch, Evil Dead: The Game offers 3 playable demons ( warlord, puppeteer and Necromancer) and 4 playable survivor classes ( leaders, warriors, hunters and supporters)

Post launch content
Several new updates were added to Evil Dead: The Game after its debut, either for no additional charge or as part of a season pass. The Army of Darkness inspired Castle Kander map and new skins for Arthur and Henry were both added to the Evil Dead: THE Game on 13 jul 2022. Characters David Allen and Mai Allen from the 2013 movie Evil dead will be added to the game on 8 sep 2022. On the same day as the new characters, evil dead: the game will also receive the Plaguebringer class, a new class based on Army of Darkness.
