Mercury and Venus Debunk the Globe

How can we see the planets that are behind us at night time?

When we’re faced away from the sun that’s when it’s nighttime right?

So how do we look in the night sky and see planets that are supposed to be behind us?

Also how come we can't see Mercury and Venus eclipsing the sun if they're infornt of us???
