The protests in Iran have reached levels where they no longer can be called protests due to the high level of rioting that has taken place.

From the destruction of property, like religious sanctities, to the gruesome killing of police officers, there are suspicions about the perpetrators of this violence, especially the organizers, and their backers, especially when it comes to anti-Iran social media. The usual suspect, the US, and anti-Iran terrorist cults like the MKO.
