The US are not a colony of the EU

In the following video you can have a look at my speech from the last parliamentary debate on the attempt of the European Union to influence the decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court regarding the planned changes in abortion law. I explained to the MEPs present that, as a matter of principle, we as the EU Parliament have no right and no competence to urge other, sovereign states to make certain decisions. After all, also the US stopped being a colony governed from Europe a long time ago.
