William Branham: A Prophet for the People

In William Branham's unusual theology, a "prophet" was a "preacher". Branham claimed that this was common English, and the people should know that a "preacher" meant "prophet". Branham, however, claimed that he never said that he was a prophet (preacher). Instead, Branham admitted, it was his followers that said that he was a prophet (preacher).

Yet the people continued to call him a preacher (prophet). This video may provide some insight as to why the people did so.
