TAIWAN finally opens up on October 13 🇹🇼

Being among the last few countries in the world that still has a quarantine period upon entering, the country of Taiwan has announced it will remove all pandemic regulations and effectively open up again for international travel and tourism. This news comes after 2.5 years of strict border measures and a quarantine period for those entering the country.

Earlier in June of this year the quarantine period was shortened from seven to three days, but all other regulations stayed in place. The visa-free policies were also still frozen, making it much more difficult and expensive to actually travel to Taiwan.

Taiwan has also just relaxed its visa policy, reinstating almost all previously frozen regulations. This means that many of us are now able to travel to Taiwan visa free again. Weekly arrivals though are still capped at 60.000 travelers. But the full opening is expected in less than two weeks. According to the latest official information from Taiwan, the required quarantine period of three days will be dropped starting October 13.
