PUTIN: Airlines can't sell tickets to men! 🇷🇺

As per order of Russian president Vladimir Putin, Russian airlines can no longer sell tickets to Russian men between the ages of 18 and 65. This comes just hours after he ordered a partial mobilization of some 300.000 men to be sent off as cannon fodder to Ukraine. Those who didn’t get out of Russia earlier, are now more eager than ever to do so though.

Directly after the announcement of the partial mobilization - that isn’t called a mobilization because that would mean Putin admits things aren’t going particularly well with his so-called ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine – requests for flights out of Russia increased tenfold, with many fighting-aged men purchasing tickets to get out of Russia as soon as possible.

This only lasted a few hours though, as now, these men won’t be able to leave by plane. Fleeing over land is also pretty difficult with the Baltic states already having closed their borders for Russians earlier this month. Borders with China and North Korea are still open however.
