HUGE Lufthansa STRIKE again - travel chaos incoming! 🇩🇪

Pilots with the large German airline Lufthansa have announced earlier that they will go on strike starting midnight at the second of September. They will strike for a full 24 hours, which is guaranteed to completely screw up any schedule that the airline normally keeps to. So travelers with Lufthansa be warned you will encounter problems with your flight during and after that strike, as planes won’t be where they should be anytime soon.

A spokesperson of the pilots union with Lufthansa, which represents some 98 percent of all pilots, said that the strike was called after it became clear that they would not reach a deal with Lufthansa over increased salaries.

The last time there was a strike with Lufthansa was as recently as July 2022 when ground workers organized a strike that caused the cancelation of over a thousand flights which in their turn caused at least 130.000 passengers to be stranded. This strike will be strike number 15 of it’s kind with the airline since 2014.
