Shut Down Indefinitely: The Big Board v. District of Columbia | Part 2

Reopening a bar after 50 days closed by the government is almost like reopening a brand new bar. Eric Flannery, owner of The Big Board in Washington, DC, has reopened his doors and is finally getting his day in federal court to challenge the unconstitutional closure of his bar/restaurant during the pandemic lockdowns. When Eric tweeted, “everyone is welcome” refusing to discriminate against his customers’ vaccination status, the city shut him down. Robert Alt, CEO of The Buckeye Institute, is representing Eric in a David v. Goliath legal battle to vindicate the underlying principle that the rule of law applies, even during states of emergency, and that government can’t limit your rights simply because it says so.
