Raising Property Taxes is Gov. Evers' Top Budget Priority. Period.

Few people understand how Net New Construction (NNC) directly impacts property tax bills in Wisconsin. Gov. Evers is one of them. When he talks about setting the minimum NNC to 2%, he's talking about allowing local governments to increase their tax levy every year by 2%, whether or not there were any new developments that year. That increase will fall directly onto taxpayers - and it will be the rule rather than the exception.
