Dead Space was a very popular survival horror game in the early 360/PS3 days and it's success lied upon the basic combat system used in Resident Evil 4, adding to it, making the gore factor higher, and setting the game in space. It does everything well but the controls take a little acclimation as they can be sluggish. My only major gripe with this game is the asteroid shooting sequence, which is very difficult, randomly generated, out of place, and very frustrating.

Dead Space recently got a remake on modern consoles (PS5/Series X), which I suggest you check out if this interests you.

Dead Space is available on PS3/4/5, Xbox 360/One/Series X, and PC.

I will give my rating for the game once it is completed based off of my new and simple rating system. The game will get one of five ratings based solely on my experience while playing through it: Horrible (rare rating), Bad, Average, Good, and Great (rare rating).
