And ... and the Circle is Closed

Our stay in the Cape Lookout Bight is a short one, as it appears to be unsafe to remain anchored there with a gale system forecast to move off of the coast in a few days. And Cape Hatteras does not disappoint. We get headwinds just after rounding, which pushes us into the Gulf Stream, which carries us very far east. We approach the Bay Bridge Tunnel around midnight, Saturday, April 24, triple reefed in rain, cold, and squalls. What a way to end a voyage!
