George Orwell's Warning to the World - What is Orwellian?

Every generation thinks that their time is the strangest of all, and ours is no exception. Our politics are a mess, our environment is collapsing, and nobody seems to be able to agree about anything. The term Orwellian has grown in popularity in recent years to describe some of the discourse of our time, even seeing frequent use in popular spheres such as the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. However, there seems to be widespread misunderstanding of what Orwellian is meant to alert us to, and George Orwell himself would likely be horrified because this misunderstanding plays right into the hands of the evil he sought to warn us about. In this video, we aim to shed light on what the term Orwellian really means and how to spot it.
