BOE Actually Stopped Buying Bonds "For Now"

Well, I am shocked. The Bank of England actually stuck to its word, and at least so far has stopped buying bonds. They announced a few weeks ago they were going to be buying an unlimited amount of bonds in order to bail out the pensions.

Because of the LDI, the liability driven investment scheme, the Ponzi scheme that the pensions were involved in, and they said, “you have until October 14th and then we are cutting you off. We're not going to buy anything beyond that. We'll buy as many as we need up until that point, and then we're going to stop.”

And I guess they did. So, we'll see how long that lasts. But there's also a couple other things coming out of the UK right now, such as a massive U-turn in fiscal policy from Liz Truss.

And so, we're going to take a look at both those things to try and determine how long this might last and whether this unlimited QE might be coming back sooner or later.
