In this video, I discuss the Bank of England (BOE) reversing its policy of selling gilts and starting back up quantitative easing (QE).

In order to stabilize the UK government bond market (gilts), the BOE has turned the money printers back on and is willing to buy as many gilts as it takes to restore stability.

Unfortunately, this stability will come at the cost of further weakening the purchasing power of the British pound (GBP) against real things like food and energy.

At a certain point, the Fed will also be forced to turn the money printers back on, even if inflation is still high, in order to stabilize the US Treasury market or other financial plumbing.
