In this video, I discuss the upcoming release of old Bitcoin to Mt Gox creditors, and whether this has the potential to tank Bitcoin's price.

I conclude that it is probably a non-event. Not all 137,000 BTC will be released at once, and even if they were, not all holders will immediately place market sell orders. 137,000 is a small amount of BTC when compared to Bitcoin's daily trading volume and total supply.

Even if Bitcoin's price falls a lot, it doesn't matter to hodlers, as long as they are not using any leverage. Bitcoin miners will keep pumping out new blocks, and hodlers will keep hodling and dollar cost averaging into Bitcoin.
