In this video, I discuss whether Coinbase and other exchanges that are staking Ethereum will succumb to regulatory or political pressure to censor transactions at the protocol level.

Coinbase, Kraken, Lido, and others readily complied with the OFAC attack on Tornado Cash, so we should not expect them to suddenly become idealistic and stand up to political or regulatory pressure the next time.

Ethereum's move to proof of stake virtually ensures that it ends up becoming a captured coin-- either by insider beneficiaries of the pre-mine, or by existing government regulators.
