In this video, I discuss why Bitcoin is extremely difficult to stop or kill.

This is because Bitcoin is so much more than just code. Bitcoin is a thought virus and a social consensus and a UTXO set.

You can fork Bitcoin, but you cannot clone the ecosystem surrounding it.

You can modify Bitcoin software, but you cannot force anyone to run the new version.

You can 51% attack or quantum attack Bitcoin, and the nodes will just route around you, or the protocol will be restarted with a new consensus algorithm or new quantum-resistant encryption using the original UTXO set.

People who try to change or attack Bitcoin usually just ending up playing donkey basketball in a corner of the room, while the Bitcoin network keeps chugging along.
