Box Scaggs and Duane Allman with their opus about being down and out collides with Johnnie Taylor's story about his encounter with the lady in the casino and just like that the Segue City Special about inflation, recession, depression and desperation is finished. It's like that old Chinese proverb that is much a curse as it is a blessing - "May you live in interesting times"... Indeed.

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
