Obviously - I need to use Quora a lot better in finding questions that people are interested in - they know I like politics - but I'm not using this system well yet! I'm still looking for groups I can get involved with and make a contribution to them... This is ongoing - it doesn't end!

I did update my profile - and other information.. but Quora is a little on the liberal side - but can I use that to my advantage - I think so - time will tell! ( not an introduction )

According to my sources, Putin wants four things to end the war:

First, he wants Ukraine to stop fighting immediately. No reciprocal promise from Russia.

Second, he wants assured neutrality of Ukraine, i.e., they agree never to join NATO or the EU. He wants this placed in the Ukrainian constitution.

Third, he wants Ukraine to recognize Russian ownership of the Crimea

Finally, he wants Ukraine to recognize the independence and right of self determination of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

if I were Ukraine I would be very suspicious. In 2014 it was the Crimea. Now it is Luhansk and Donetsk. At the same time we want you not to be able to defend what is left. What will be the next land grab by Putin?

The Ukraine is being dismantled piece by piece until there is nothing left to dismantle. From the standpoint of Ukraine, which is worse, a quick death or a slow, painful one?

My answer -

That’s one possible thought - but some key points are important - the west needs to stay out of other countries Business both financially, politically and most importantly industrially - which includes profits and control of war situations! Nato needs to be dissolved - if Europe needs to defend itself - then do it by peaceful means! The United States and other countries would not be in this mess if we would have stayed out of their business! Military labs, financial bribes, NATO push and enforcements on treaties and more - UN push for demands in many areas - UN needs to be defunded - Nations need their own voice without money bribes or political pressures dominated by a few powerful countries -

They need their own voices! Russia has warned the west for a long time to stay out of Europe and Eastern countries next to Russia but we have kept poking the Bear again and again - war looked like the only way to wake us up! Is it too late to get our heads out of their countries? Maybe someone like Trump will come in and make a deal to calm this war down - time will tell! - For sure it’s a sad day when we cause problems and wars - than after the blood shed and damage is done we sign treaties - or stop the conflict - it’s time to stop the damage and stay out of wars and use peaceful means to work together - when will we learn that peace is preferred to war and destruction?

I've got to look at the tracker and start using it too!
