Puyo Puyo for the Game Boy was released in 1994. It is a tile matching game and the Game Boy version was developed based from the arcade version of Puyo Puyo released in 1992. The game uses the Madou Monogatari characters and was the first game of the Puyo Puyo series for the Game Boy consoles.
