How to Stream Videos from Windows PC to Smartphone, Tablet and Smart TV (Same WiFi Network)

How to stream videos from your Windows PC to Smartphone, tablet and Smart TVs (Make sure you connect in the same WiFi network)

First click the search icon
type turn windows feature on or off
click the suggested result
Check SMB 1.0 C1FS Client
Click OK
Wait for it while it applies changes
You can restart now or do it later
Next click Windows start
Click Settings
Click Network and Internet
Click Advanced network settings
Click More Network adapter options
When it opens the window, click Network and Internet
Click View Network Status and tasks
Go back to the advanced network settings windows
Make sure Network discovery, File and Printer Sharing is On
and Setup Network connected devices automatically is checked
Go back to the other window
Click Media Streaming Options
Click Turn On Media Streaming
You can name your media library anything you want and set allow to devices where you want to stream
Lastly, click search again
type services
click the Services app from best match result
Check Function Discovery Provider Host is set to Automatic
Do the same for SSDP Discovery and UPNPDevice Host
You may need to restart the system after applying changes

For smartphone and tablets, just download the VLC media player app, not the VLC streamer in App Store or Google Play Store
Run the app
Go to settings and click Force VLC to rescan the media library if you add new content
Go to Network
Your File Server will show up and check the name that matches your media library
Go to Videos
Folders
Videos again
You should put your media content to the Windows default folders. These are Downloads, Music, Pictures and Videos
try playing a video
You can Download Subtitles from Opensubtitles.org if you want subtitles

For Smart TVs
Just run the media player app and load your media library
Look for the name of your PC
