Living Where?

Today's Segue City Special is the same song done three ways. First there's the version by James Brown that everybody knows and was the big hit. Next is Weird Al's version which is a perfect parody of the Godfather of Soul's version. And then to close out the segue is the artist, Dan Hartman, who wrote the song in the first place and whose version we like best personally. The sad part of the song is all the cities mentioned are places we wouldn't want to get caught dead in because if we were there, we would probably be found dead there...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
